If you're experiencing a bug or glitch with your receiver,
try this Power Cycle procedure first.
Power Cycle Procedure:
- Unplug power cord from outlet, wait 15
sec or so
- Plug power cord back into outlet
- Pull smartcard out and push back in to
force receiver to re-read
- Push and hold power button on front
panel for 10 sec.
The Power Cycle step will often fix the
problem. If you continue to have a problem, you can try the Memory
Dump procedure.
Memory Dump:
- Navigate to the "Diagnostics"
page by pushing "Menu-6-3" on your remote
- Push Info, Right Arrow (Browse), Left Arrow
(Theme)
- The Memory Dump & Device Status
screen appears
- Look at the top line, third field from
the left. This is the Watchdog Counter. If number displayed is
larger than 0005, your receiver might have a problem. If it's much
higher, you probably need to replace the receiver.
- To clear the memory, push the TV/Video
or Info button.
